A message from the potter...
I have been fascinated by the history of pottery and by the process of making pottery since I was a teenager in Arkansas in the 1970’s. During my life as a full time mom in Texas, I collected and used pottery made by artists from around the country.
When my youngest child left for college, my daughter advised me to take pottery lessons as a cure for “empty nest syndrome”. It was instant love, and now, after several years of lessons, experiments, and practice, pottery making has become a full time relationship!
I now have a wonderful studio in the Ozark woods overlooking the White River valley in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Here I enjoy creating functional pottery pieces, especially traditional board games and mugs. Our family and friends have been using these traditional games as a great source of education, entertainment, and socialization. In my own small way, I would like to encourage everyone of all ages to enjoy these games from our heritage and pass them along to our future generations. In addition, what could be better than a big mug of your favorite beverage to enjoy while you play a game with family and friends!
