Customization — what does that mean
Let us start by noting that each item produced by Haven Pottery is custom in the sense that no two items are ever exactly the same, even though style elements and glaze types are repeated across our entire pottery line.
Customization means that you have the option of contacting us to order specific combinations of style elements and glazes for your pieces, allowing you to exactly match your specific tastes with a mixture of our pottery style elements and glazes.
Please note that each piece’s colors are a combination of the glazes used, the thickness of the glazes deposited on each piece, the particular characteristics of each kiln run, and other things that are make pottery creation a form of artistry rather than engineering.
If you have an interest in multiple pieces that match each other to form a set, please be assured that we will do everything possible to make them complimentary and similar to each other — but that each piece will have its own unique identity.
We also customize items with design elements such as family initials or other style elements, always understanding that it may not be possible to blend some style elements into the style of our pottery. |

Payment for customized pieces
Individual custom pieces that are combinations of our standard style elements will require no pre-payment at time of order.
An order for a small group of pieces with common customized look, but using only our standard style and glaze elements, will require 50% pre-payment at the time that the order is finalized. The remaining 50% payment will be required before shipment. Large groups of pieces will required 100% pre-payment at time of order.
Orders for customized pieces that have unique style elements that would identify the piece with a particular individual requires 100% pre-payment at the time that the order is finalized. Because of the extra design time needed to create customer specific style elements, an extra design charge appropriate to the level of work involved will be included in the price of the item. |

Order from our open stock, or create a custom piece
We have many pieces available for immediate shipment that are represented by the pictures we have on this website. If you are interested in one of our games or functional pottery pieces now, then give us a call and we can tell discuss our current stock and send you a picture of any particular piece that might interest you. If we don’t have the pottery piece in a style and color that interests you, then you can place a order that should be ready for delivery in two to three weeks. |
