The origins of Backgammon stretch back to ancient Mesopotamia, where The Royal Game of Ur (a game strikingly similar to Backgammon) was played around 3000BC. Similar games have been found in cultures around the world. In modern times, backgammon’s appealing mix of luck and strategy continues to endear it to players of all ages.
